Simply enjoy being our guest
Most beautiful country inn in the region. 44 hotel rooms, five room categories.
Rich in tradition with the comforts of today, hospitable in a family atmosphere – these are the characteristic features of the Landgasthof Kreuz Kappel, whose history goes back more than 350 years. Discover what Switzerland has to offer while staying with us.
Kappel is situated in the middle of Switzerland. Main cities like Basel, Zurich, Lucerne, and Bern are not too far away. Our hotel offers stylish rooms with great attention to detail and makes a perfect “home away from home”. Whether you visit for just one night or two or an extended stay.
The Landgasthof Kreuz Kappel is managed in second generation by family Weber. The team is young, dynamic and cultivates a personal approach. True passion for gastronomy and the hotel business come to live. The restaurant offers traditional Swiss cuisine, seasonal specialties and homemade pasta.
Located in the midlands of Solothurn and close to the A1 highway between Basel, Bern, Zurich, and Lucerne, Kappel is at the transportation hub of Switzerland, so to speak. We welcome guests passing through Switzerland for a relaxing stopover.
Kappel is also attractive for business travelers as many international companies are based in the region.

The hotel has 44 hotel rooms (five room categories).
Comfort Double Room, Family Comfort Room and Comfort Plus Double Room. These rooms are quietly located in the new building and combine modernity and tradition. Their distinctive style and generous space make them an ideal retreat for any stay, private or business.
In 2016, the old barn gave way to the new hotel building. In gratitude and respect to tradition and raw materials, the old wood of the barn was upgraded and reincorporated throughout the hotel. Today, the homey and cozy atmosphere of the new building invites to unwind and take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The Classic double rooms, located in the original part of the hotel, are also spacious. They feature a large desk and a sofa.
The Basic double rooms, also located in the original part of the hotel, are compact and feature a small double bed or two single beds.

Let us endulge you
Our menu is characterized by local cuisine. While we mainly offer regional specialties, we also let ourselves be inspired by international dishes.
Whether you like it traditional, cozy, or festive, we offer the right atmosphere. Throughout the year, we invite you to join us to celebrate seasonal events and highlights such as “Wildanlass”, “Metzgete”, Valentine, Easter and Mother’s Day specials.
Whether you are planning a nice business lunch or an extensive, culinary delight around dinner, we offer the perfect setting and menu in our dining room. Our business lunches are always seasonal and change weekly.
Chateaubriand carved at the table or beef fillet stroganoff are among the most popular dishes we serve in the dining room. While our menu is composed of six courses, guests choose individually how they would like their meal put-together.
Are you looking for something a little more rustic? Then this is the right place for you. In our rustic restaurant we serve typical Swiss dishes.
