The Hotel Waldhaus am See is one of the most famous and best 3-star hotels in Switzerland, situated directly on Lake St. Moritz in peaceful surroundings with a magnificent view of the Engadine mountains.
The hotel has been lovingly managed by the Bernasconi family for over 30 years. The hotel has 50 single and double rooms. Most of the rooms have been or are being renovated with a lot of wood and attention to detail. Not only the rooms but also the restaurant, the whisky bar and the lounge have been given a new look, and for over 120 years it has been the only hotel directly on the lake. No other hotel offers this view over the mountains, the lake and St. Moritz. But this is not the only special thing. You will find the largest whisky bar in the world, called “Devils Place”, with over 2,500 varieties and a whisky shop with more than a thousand different bottles for sale. In addition, wine connoisseurs will also get their money’s worth. The most beautiful wine cellar far and wide awaits you, which has received several international awards – from the Wine Spectator – with 1,300 particularly exquisite wines in over 25,000 bottles.

The Hotel Waldhaus am See offers 101 beds in 50 rooms which have been partly renovated in November 2013. The rooms ether a view to the forest and/or to St. Moritz or a spectacular view over the lake. Starting from the winter season 2014/15 the double rooms can be additionally divided into a Comfort category.
All rooms are equipped with bath or shower and toilet, free wireless internet, safe, telephone, fax-/ modem connection, CD and DVD player, radio and LED TV (135 channels, 55 HD channels), kettle with tea and coffee and a minibar.

In our restaurant Waldhaus am See we offer home-style cuisine. Specialities such as our classic grilled Châteaubriand with homemade Béarnaise sauce, our large selection of fondues and changing dishes from our chef are at your disposal. A good glass of our own whisky will hopefully round off the unforgettable evening. Every day our hotel guests are spoiled with a 5-course menu (in the low season 4-course menu). We are also happy to serve the daily menu to our restaurant guests.
Devil’s Place, the name of the hotel’s own bar, makes the hearts of every whisky lover beat faster! With 2500 different types of whisky, it offers the largest selection in the world. This whisky collection has already been entered several times in the “Guinness Book of Records”. We offer around 1000 different whiskies in our own whisky shop. In the online shop of our partner “World of Whisky” you will find an even larger selection.
We offer different Whisky Tastings (for larger groups in the Whisky Shop) or also “Whisky and Dine”. The wine list of the hotel counts more than 1’300 positions. 25’000 bottles from more than 20 countries are stored in the cellars of the in-house wine shop “Cave Waldhaus”. Wine Spectator (New York) has awarded the wine list the Grand Award and Best of Award of Excellence several times. In addition to wine tastings, we also offer private aperitifs in our wine cellar.
Where various highlights and an intact mountain landscape already contribute to your well-being, the wellness area is the icing on the cake. Switch off and let your soul dangle. After an active day of hiking, skiing or other sports, our sauna is a real treat for the whole body. Afterwards a trip to the steam bath or the infrared cabin and you are ready for the next day. Our graduate medical masseur Vincent offers various massages and also responds individually to customer needs.
